Harshida is a warm and compassionate psychologist dedicated to helping individuals improve their mental and emotional well-being through her work. She believes that every individual has an inherent capacity for healing and that a therapist can empower them on their journey towards healing by helping them process their emotions, discover their unique strengths, and provide them with the tools to navigate the complexities of life.
She has a Master's Degree in Psychology, with a Child Psychology Specialization. In her therapeutic practice, she uses a trauma-informed, queer-affirmative, and neurodiversity-affirmative therapy lens to create a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive therapy space for individuals of all identities and experiences. She always strives to nurture a therapeutic relationship built on collaboration, respect, and trust with the client, as she believes it is the foundation of good therapy.
She primarily works with a Humanistic approach in her therapy sessions, using techniques from Person-Centered Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy while also integrating other therapeutic modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based interventions to create individualized treatment plans based on the client's unique needs and goals.
In her personal life, Harshida is a curious and novelty-seeking individual, always on the lookout to learn new things. She loves listening to music, watching feel-good movies and shows, reading non-fiction and poetry, and spending time with friends and family to unwind and unplug from the hustle and bustle of life.
