Annika Vajpeyi is a dedicated clinical psychologist who is passionate about creating a safe space where clients can explore their innermost thoughts and a spectrum of emotions without judgment. Her interest in psychology is rooted in the belief that self awareness not only transforms clients but also the world around them for the better. She strongly believes that therapy is a learning journey for both the client as well as the therapist, where growth happens through mutual exploration. She regards each session as an opportunity to understand unique perspectives and strengthen therapeutic approaches.
With an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from Gautam Buddha University, she has extensive experience working in various settings including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, community organizations and telemedicine platforms, honing her ability to provide outcome-focused, empathetic care. Over the years, she has provided support to diverse populations, from children with autism to adults navigating complex life challenges. Her areas of interest include anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, anger management, stress management and autism spectrum disorder. She has hands-on experience in using clinical assessments and integrating evidenced based approaches such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Motivation Enhancement Therapy and Applied Behaviour Analysis allowing her to design tailored interventions that meet each client’s unique needs.
Her therapeutic philosophy is based on the idea of “परोपकारार्थम् इदं शरीरम्” which means this body is for the welfare of others, a belief that guides her work. She has enthusiastically participated in mental health awareness camps and school outreach programs. She is committed to serving clients to enable them to gain insight, discover their inner self and improve their quality of life. She practices the core skills of empathy, active listening and collaboration with the client, adhering to ethical practice.
Beyond her clinical work, Ms. Annika remains committed to continuous learning, research and regularly contributing to academic publications and staying updated on the latest advancements in the field. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, painting reading and DIY-ing her way through life.
