MindTribe traces back to a promise. When Dr. Prerna Kohli was honoured by then-President of India Dr. Pranab Mukherjee, the conversations that followed became a personal commitment: to destigmatize mental health in India, and to build the psychologists who'd carry that forward.
That commitment became Mentriq — a small in-person counselling centre in Gurgaon with four or five psychologists. Then COVID hit, and everything about how people could access care changed overnight. On July 15, 2020, Mentriq was reborn as MindTribe — no longer a clinic you visited, but a platform you could reach from anywhere. We've been growing ever since.
MindTribe exists for two people at once: the client who needs quality care without a luxury price tag, and the psychologist early in their career who needs somewhere real to build one. We built our entire model — pricing, supervision, growth path — around making both of those things true at the same time.
When COVID hit and the demand for mental health support exploded overnight, the small in-person clinic Dr. Kohli had built wasn't set up to meet that moment. What followed was a complete reinvention — built by a team who believed the mission mattered too much to stay small.

Clinicians coming from institutional work who haven't yet built a private-practice caseload go through our Bridge Program first, so the transition is set up properly rather than left to chance.
