Simran is highly driven and empathetic, devoted to helping people navigate life’s transitions and hardships. With an MSc. Clinical and Health Psychology degree from the University of Manchester, she has a strong foundation in research and clinical practice. Through her internship and volunteer work, she has gained invaluable experience in tailoring therapeutic approaches to clients’ unique needs. An avid listener and keen observer, she believes in fostering a safe space where people can share their worries and challenges in a non-judgmental environment. Focusing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), she is dedicated to nurturing growth and resilience through a collaborative dynamic between the therapist and the client. Simran’s approach is rooted in creating a space of trust and mutual respect where confidentiality is paramount.

Simran has worked closely with mental health professionals, attaining hands-on experience in case formulations and observing therapeutic exchanges. She has worked with individuals from varying backgrounds and age groups which including working with children on the Autism spectrum and ADHD, where she gained experience in conducting psychological tests. With a strong zeal for research, Simran is inquisitive about the complexities of women’s mental and physical health. Her recent work in understanding the effectiveness of CBT for vasomotor symptoms in menopausal women has her striving towards improving the healthcare system for women. Promoting a supportive environment for LGBTQI+ individuals, she believes in unconditional positive regard and inclusivity for everyone. She is passionate about empowering and uplifting individuals facing adversities in life by helping them help themselves. She believes therapy is a lifelong learning process, which she is committed to, while adapting and growing alongside her clients and their needs.

Beyond her work and academic ventures, Simran enjoys reading books and listening to music as an antidote for a stressful day. She likes to wind down by spending time with her dog and watching movies. She is driven to bring a positive change in the mental health community and society, where individuals can shape their lives the way they have envisioned for themselves.
