About Me

As a therapist, Allaranda Shekinah Nanjappa takes an intuitive yet logical approach, grounded in deep empathy. She creates a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard and comfortable exploring their thoughts and emotions. In today’s fast-changing world, emotional overwhelm and inner conflict are common, and clients often describe her as warm, approachable, and someone who brings a sense of relief through conversation. Drawing from both professional training and lived experience, she uses an eclectic, person-centred approach to support individuals in navigating emotional difficulties and key life transitions.

Her journey began in medicine before transitioning into wellbeing, where she worked as a yoga teacher and researcher. Witnessing positive transformations led her to pursue psychology professionally, shaping her belief that “a healthy mind leads to a healthy body.”

She holds a Master’s in Psychology and Research Methods from the University of Surrey and is an active member of the British Psychological Society. Her experience includes volunteering with mental health charities and the NHS, using Motivational Interviewing and assisting in CBT, SFBT, Rogerian therapy, and ACT-informed approaches.

Outside her professional work, she enjoys long drives, painting, and dancing, while meditation, nature walks, and a gratitude ritual help her stay grounded and balanced.
