Sravya describes herself as a compassionate and patient professional, with a strong foundation in evidence-based mental healthcare. She strongly believes that mental wellbeing is at the core of human growth, and that change comes from the willingness to be vulnerable and to explore one’s thoughts, needs and feelings. To this end, she passionately works with clients to create an environment that feels safe to navigate their fears and doubts, relationships, career and academics.
Sravya holds an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Her therapeutic approach is primarily informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and existential perspectives. She is a strong advocate for understanding and meaningfully integrating social, economic and cultural factors into her therapeutic work to understand oneself holistically. She strongly believes in making quality mental healthcare accessible to people from diverse backgrounds, and tailoring therapeutic work to meet the needs of each individual.
She has extensive training in working with clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, childhood issues, academic stress and career transitions. She has gained valuable clinical experience by interning at the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID), Hyderabad where she worked with children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions. As a research scientist, she has extensively contributed to psychological research on common mental health concerns at the National Institute for Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru.
Outside of her professional work, Sravya enjoys traveling and exploring new places, and has a fondness for sitcoms and films, often catching references others miss. She also enjoys cooking, which she finds grounding and creative, and values the small, everyday rituals that bring balance and joy to her life.
